### Explosive Investigation Reveals Otto Reich – Advocate of Cubana Flight 76 Terrorist – Sits on Board of Guyana’s Sole Uranium Company, While His Lobbying Firm Was Paid by Guyana Government and ExxonMobil

**GEORGETOWN, GUYANA – May 12, 2026** – The Guyana Anti-Corruption Network (GACN) today released a devastating investigative report exposing that **Otto Juan Reich**, a former U.S. ambassador who personally defended and shielded the terrorist responsible for the 1976 Cubana Flight 455 bombing – which murdered 11 Guyanese citizens – is now a Director and major shareholder of **U92 Energy Corp.**, the only company licensed to explore for uranium in Guyana.

At the same time, Reich’s Washington lobbying firm was paid $25,000 per month by the Guyana government to influence U.S. policy, while also working alongside ExxonMobil – which has locked Guyana into one of the most unequal oil contracts in history. This is not a conspiracy. This is public record.

### 🔥 THE BLOOD ON HIS HANDS: 11 GUYANESE MURDERED – REICH PROTECTED THE KILLER

On October 6, 1976, Cubana Flight 455 exploded over the Caribbean. Among the 73 dead were **eleven Guyanese nationals**, including:

– **Eric Norton, 18** – medical student
– **Rawle Thomas, 18** – medical student
– **Seshnarine Kumar, 18** – medical student
– **Jacqueline Williams, 19** – student

The bombing was orchestrated by anti-Castro extremist **Orlando Bosch**, a convicted terrorist who admitted to dozens of attacks. Bosch lived freely in the United States until his death in 2011 – never convicted for the Flight 455 massacre.

Why? Because **Otto Reich** – then U.S. Ambassador to Venezuela – personally used his office to press for Bosch’s release and safe passage to the U.S. Reich became Bosch’s most powerful advocate. His nomination for a top State Department post was opposed precisely because of his “advocacy for Bosch.” As late as 1998, Reich was still lobbying to allow Bosch into the country.

**Now, this man sits on the board of U92 Energy Corp., the sole company licensed to explore Guyana’s uranium.** He holds 2.3 million shares and stock options. He profits from the same Guyanese soil that holds the graves of the children whose murderer he protected.

### 🛢️ THE AMERICAN STRANGLEHOLD: REICH, EXXON, AND THE LOBBYING WEB

The investigation further reveals:

– In December 2020, the Guyana government signed a **$25,000/month contract** with the Cormac Group, a U.S. lobbying firm, to “aid its relations with US government agencies.” **Otto Reich Associates was a named joint venture partner.** Reich personally was a registered consultant.

– Documents show that an agreement between **ExxonMobil** and the Guyana government explicitly required that the Cormac Group and Otto Reich Associates “supervise the activities related to that commitment” alongside the Guyanese embassy in Washington.

– ExxonMobil’s 2016 Production Sharing Agreement leaves Guyana with as little as **14.5% of oil revenue** – a deal widely condemned as a “crippling stranglehold” that has made Guyanese leaders afraid to speak out against the U.S. supermajor.

**The same man who lobbied for Exxon alongside the Guyanese state is now the director of the only uranium explorer in the country.** This is the ultimate capture of a nation’s strategic resources by a foreign political operative with a terrorist’s past.

### ⚠️ THE VENEZUELA BORDER DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN

The Kurupung uranium project lies in the **Essequibo region** – territory claimed by Venezuela. The Maduro government has already warned against mining activities there. By placing Reich – a virulent anti-Chávez hardliner who supported the 2002 coup attempt against Venezuela’s president – on the board of U92, Guyana has handed Caracas a propaganda weapon. Venezuela will now claim that U.S. cold warriors are mining “their” uranium. The risk of escalation is real.

**1. The Government of Guyana** to immediately:
– Revoke or suspend Otto Reich’s directorship in any company holding strategic mineral licenses.
– Disclose the full terms of U92 Energy’s exploration licenses.
– Explain why a known advocate for a mass murderer was ever allowed near Guyana’s uranium.

**2. The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX Venture Exchange)** to delist U92 Energy unless Reich is removed from the board.

**3. The Government of Canada** (as the home of U92) to investigate whether a director with Reich’s record violates Canadian securities laws on director fitness.

**4. The United Nations and the Organization of American States** to send an independent observer mission to review the awarding of Guyana’s uranium licenses.

**5. The families of the 11 Guyanese victims of Cubana Flight 455** to join us in demanding an apology from U92 Energy – and Reich’s resignation.
